|
|
| My tower is getting installed this week and was wondering about the speakers. I am on a budget. I have a thousand left for speakers, rope rack, exc. So 800 for 2 sets of double barrels is a lot. I think 2 single should be fine, but I don't wanna regret the purchase if its not. Whats your experiences? |

| You could always get just 2 speakers now and then get 2 later on. The only downside to that is later on, instead of having just 2 clamps on the tower you will have 4. But thats nothing big to most ppl. Im thinking about doing that myself just b/c of the cost of speakers. |

| I only have two speakers on my monster tower and I personally think they are plenty loud enough and I think they look pretty good, but like he said you could start with two then add two more later on. |

| My buddy has got 2 Polks on his monster tower but I don't remember how loud they are. Too many drunk times. But I am gonna start out with 2 and get 2 more later on. I think they are probably loud enough for me. I like to hear ppl talking without having to turn my music all of the way down. |

adam355, I think you'll regret that unless you get HCLD's.
If you underpower them, you'll be really disappointed. For a $1000, you can do alot if you build them yourself. I did and saved a ton.
But, if it were me doing it over, I would spend a few hundred more and get a pair of any of these.

| Yea it would be nice to be able to get a set of those NVS or Wetsounds but I know I can't afford them right now. Im on a tight budget. Us firefighters don't get paid big money. |

I'm buying an amp so I don't see why they'd be underpowered. Those speakers are just out of my price range this summer. If i need to I'll sell them on ebay next summer and upgrade when I have more cash. |

InDoNeZiAn, They are the loudest on the market and you can actually hear the music clearly while riding. They use outdoor concert type horns and woofers and pack them into a tower speaker.
