I think it looks pretty bad ass, hears some picture can't wait to get out and try it! Inputs welcome.

Sorry for the messy boat, and the stuff on the windows is spark paper cause we had to do some tack welding. It sits 7ft high.

P.S. Its not 100% complete needs some more welding and something to tie the rope to! [/img]

Yeah that would be no good, I wish we built it a little bit smaller but we'll see how it goes, we did our research to some extent. wish us the best of luck when we get out there i'm hoping all goes well so i can step my game up on the lake, know what i mean.

I'm a bit worried it might not be strong enough sideways. I have read a post of someone who built a similar tower, who had that problem

Maybe try it out before you paint it, then it don't matter much when you have to weld some extra diagonals.

Hmm sideways good point, yeah we plan on taking it out the weekend weather pending, and if all goes well then paint her!. thanks for the imput

i dont think its strong enough. you might need to weld some supports in. good luck tho looks great besides that.

what are you using to mount it to the boat? Heard lots of people with direct mounts end up cracking the get coat/ fiberglass. You may want to look into some heim joints if you haven't already mounted it.

i seen a tower like that on ebay, almost identical, guy makes them and sells them, must be strong enough cause he sells a tonne of them!
