| Can some people post up some pictures of how they have their boards and vests organized in their garages? I am trying to build something that will mount on the wall and hold several boards with a bar across the bottom to hang vests on, but I wanted to see what some others had done. I've seen a few pictures on here, but couldn't remember much about them.

cant see pic, but i just through life jackets up in the rafters, leave the boards sitting on the back seats, throw the towels in the wash then back on a shelf in the garage.

I like that setup!
I'm going to steal that idea

Consider you idea officially ripped off.
I think I will probably go with some sort of extended shelfs on the bottom with some sort of curtain rod used for the vests. I have about 7-8 new neoprene vests that need hanging up.

I've got another question on this setup. I did mine fairly similar except I went with a curtain rod to hang the vests on. Now the problem, I pulled my brand new board of the racks this weekend and the pipe wrap had apparently melted (it's been extremely hot lately) and left lines across the bottom of the board where it removed some of the finish. It wouldn't be noticeable except it's a Faction which is solid black.
Any other ideas as to what to cover the shelves with that will hold up to the heat better.

Wood shelves don't do that. Easy to make. Just use some 1x6, cut them at an angle like board racks, and mont on the wall. Voila.

CHEAP WAY
you can go get the 1.99 L shaped shelving hanger and some sheetrock anchors and just bend the tip up a little to keep the board from falling out.

| I thought about the wood, but I liked the look and utility of the moveable shelfs. I think I may take a sock or some sort of wrap and put it around the pipe wrap.

brew,
I agree. I'll be making either a boardrack in the garage, or a bench out of 2 old wakeboards. I dunno which yet.

There is a closet in the garage at my dads house I just sort of throw everything in and worry about it later. Problem is, there is so much crap in there now over the years, that I am too lazy to go fish the crap out. Why hunt for old stuff when you can get/buy new stuff? Thats my moto.

Nice one HHI Dave!
Seems kind of over ambitious for me though... I go with putting the board on my bed and then when I put the board besides the bed. Works great! =)
(though starting to be a bad idea since I have 3 board by now...)
Oh yeah, and I built a table of my first wakeboard that snapped and became totaly flat (the no-tip design...).

Dave88LX,
I'm started on my garage this weekend. Looks to be of similar size (makes my neigbours look pretty small).
It is bigger than my house!

Lop, the tubes are always tied up behind the boat, they never get a rest!

| If you get get the Ronix metal board you can use rare earth magnets to suspend the board in mid air. As for the life jacket i just hang it above the laundry sink.
