you could ask Scotty for more power, but he's probably givin' her all she's got.

I don't think it's likely you can grab much of a horsepower improvement without screwing something else up, plus you'd never get your investment back. Better to just save up and upgrade the whole boat when you're ready.

In short. No. Not safely and efficiently. The work it would require to squeeze out the extra 50-60 horsepower is not worth it. Those motors are not designed for any more power really. A high horsepower motor is not just a motor with something bolted on. It has to be properly built from the ground up.
