Does it really matter what kind of rope to use...regular or wakeboard ski rope? Will it actually affect the height of my jumps or anything else in that regards??
Thanks

The wakeboard ropes do not stretch, so when you are edging the rope is not stretching out, it will stay the same length and will not act like a big spring when you come off edge.

Absolutely!! You probably won't realize it until the first time you ride with a spectra line. The difference is night and day. If you're serious about becoming a better wakeboarder, the non-stretch rope is well worth the higher price. Cool

If you really want to feel the difference, ride with a non-stretch rope for a good month, then go back and try to use a ski rope, you'll really feel the difference.

not to mention all the people in the boat dodging the handle like a missle with your elastic ski rope when you lose the rope on a hard edge or on a wreck you hung on to for too long... not so much an issue with a non-stretch rope.

I'd say a non-stretch rope is the most important thing in wakeboarding, next to the board.
