Does it really matter what kind of rope to use...regular or wakeboard ski rope? Will it actually affect the height of my jumps or anything else in that regards??

| The wakeboard ropes do not stretch, so when you are edging the rope is not stretching out, it will stay the same length and will not act like a big spring when you come off edge. |

Absolutely!! You probably won't realize it until the first time you ride with a spectra line. The difference is night and day. If you're serious about becoming a better wakeboarder, the non-stretch rope is well worth the higher price.

If you really want to feel the difference, ride with a non-stretch rope for a good month, then go back and try to use a ski rope, you'll really feel the difference.

| not to mention all the people in the boat dodging the handle like a missle with your elastic ski rope when you lose the rope on a hard edge or on a wreck you hung on to for too long... not so much an issue with a non-stretch rope. |

I'd say a non-stretch rope is the most important thing in wakeboarding, next to the board.
