How does it suck for CWB when he was a Mastercraft employee and only a contracted TM for dub?
Fail to see how it sucks.
Made me throw up in my mouth a bit when I read it. People like that need to be put on an island with a bunch of killer bees. I feel bad for the team guys who will be teased non stop.

Woah, thats crazy. I met him at INT Nationals last year. He seemed like a cool guy he did keep talking to my younger friend the whole time though.

I knew Bill from around the Texas tournaments and such. He seemed like a nice guy, but I never really talked to him because something just seemed askewed with him. I guess this is an attest to my intuative sense.

He doesn't have a contract with CWB or MC, just sub contracts.

jumalian, no freaking way I would be poking fun at anyone at this stage. This is horrid stuff, not a very funny thing at all. I don't care if I hate them with a passion, I am not going to sit here and make fun.

This won't affect CWB in a measurable way. Nobody other than the inner circles know who Bill Doyle is. You know as well as I do that the close community represents very very little of the overall market for these products.

I suppose by your logic this is really going to hurt MC, the INT League, Austin PD, amongst others.

i'm not blaming cwb at all, but there will be peple that's quick to point fingers on companies that the accused is affiliated with. yes, including mc, int, etc. why do you think the article has quotes from austin pd and gordy holmes, denying any knowledge? because they know people are quick to put the accused w/ the company(ies) he works for.

i give up...i dont' think you'll ever understand what i'm saying. all you see is me attacking your beloved cwb, which i'm far from doing. *sigh*

jumalian, bad press? I am pretty sure that 85% of buyers have no clue of this. Sure, pretty much everyone inside the market base will know, but that doesnt change much. I wouldnt go so far to say it gives CWB a black eye. Perhaps a bloody nose, as they are some what connected with this, but still very distant from the entire deal.

Again, Bill looked like a good passionate guy from outside. That is all anyone cared about! Its terrible that this had to happen, not for CWBs sake or MCs, but for the kids sake. Lets not put blame on companies that couldnt controll this. Lets just hope this guy gets what is coming to him in jail.

im sorry, but i think its great that he's getting whats been coming for a long time. while he has always acted like an upstanding part of any community, especially wakeboarding, when things didn't go bill's way business wise, he was a jackass. cdub signed me for the 01 season, and then joe kelly never sent my contract for 02, even after being in contact with him several times. so i switched over to hyperlite, because gary morrison hooked me up. about a month after this, he was at a contest at table rock lake, MO, and saw me riding my hyperlite. the next week he called my house, and proceeded to yell at me so loud that my mom stopped my conversation to ask who the hell that was. he was that pissed because i didn't call him before switching companies, which i actually had, he just never answered, which i am glad for now after finding out what this guys REAL problem was. i just can't believe that good ol christian bill doyle is that messed up. i am extremely happy that this freak is out of the wakeboarding community for good it seems. take this how you want it, im not trying to start stuff, i just had to post this up after reading that article.

Dragon - while it is never a laughing matter no matter who we are talking about, BillJ did not molest children AFAIK.

Like it or not, there is a difference between a child predator and someone who was too stupid to keep his hands off other guys.

chavez, maybe not... but from first-hand stories I've heard he's not much better.

Very sad story overall. What I really couldn't believe is what I saw on another message board, people actually defending this guy and reserving judgement even though the papers apparently had quotes of him stating he did these things, not to mention all the crap he had apparently 'produced' that they found on his computer. This guy is sick.
