I have trouble in the landing, I always slips on my ass. I'm trying to land on my toes but I always land flat or on my heels. I get huge pop and I always land way into the flat.

instead of Ts front flip, I do Ts balls slap.

riding at 24 mph with 75'

I have been working on those myself, and I have the same problem... I land on my heels with no chance of getting on my toeside edge.
The last time I went out, I finally rode with someone who can land these consistantly and I was able to see what I was doing wrong.
He would hold the handle with both hands for the first half of his rotation, and on the second half he would let go with his back hand and poke the handle WAY out behind his back. I guess you really have to exaggerate the handle position to land on edge.

It sounds like you guys are talking about front ROLLS, not FLIPS. Remember, in wakeboarding a front flip (either heelside or toeside) is when you rotate sidewayz like a cartwheel. Your board is actually doing a front flip nose to tail (and your body is doing a cartwheel, like I just said).

A front ROLL, is when you do what would be a "front flip" in gymnastics (or anywhere else in the world).

This is confusing to a lot of people. I am not sure why it is named that way, but it is.

Since it seems to be a front roll you are trying, here are a couple pointers I focus on with that move:

- Really get your hips up and stand tall at the wake.

- Wait longer than you think you should to start rotating the flip, you should be well off the wake before tucking your head.

- Stay tucked until you can spot your landing. It's an easy flip to slow down, if you open up too soon, you'll almost always skip out on your butt.

- Grab it! Wink

Mike McLin, that makes no sense... a back roll is a flip? dude you helped make 'the book" or whatever, is "the book" this confusing?

how do you get the pop on the ts front roll? i just cant get it? and my toeside jumps are better than my hs jumps. i get more height and land way further into the flats. so why cant i get the pop for the front roll? do i need to come off of my front foot or my back foot?

emmz, I cut all the way up, stand tall and wait for the pop. I never even came close to land in the wake. Same for scarecrow.

I'll try to make some footage next time and I'll post it

Gaignstar, congrats! Can you land crows? If not, you could probably learn them pretty easily now.

On both the Crow and the Front Roll I get good pop and rotation I am just landing on the back foot of my board so that it pops a wheelie towards the boat everytime. What would correct this?

gene3x, stay tuck little longer, you will have time to spot your landing.

Like I said before I have plenty of time to spot my landing and even over-rotate it sometimes. I just always land tail heavy. Nobody seems to have an answer for that one.

gene3x, let go with your back hand and keep the handle close to your hip
