IMO - HS BS OFF 3 is harder since most all BS spinning is harder for most people. Plus each trick requires a completely different release off the wake about as different as you can get matter of fact.
So I will only talk about the HS FS OFF 3... You want to leave the wake with a very progressive backroll type release off the wake. waiting on the pop and loading the tail as you ride up the wake. Once you pop push the handle down low and to the small of your back. Your feet should be waist high or higher almost automatically if you left the wake as described above. Think big off axis 180 or you will over rotate catch your front edge and eat it hard For this reason most people feel that the HS FS OFF 5 is easier as it's a more natural rotation out of the off axis position. For me I just toss a quick grab in there and it seems to slow my rotation down. I go for the grab right off the wake before my feet get too far out behind me. I started to learn this trick after I took my HS FS 180's off axis into the drifting position and my boys would tell me I was almost backfacing the boat every time like a batwing but from the HS side of the wake.
The tramp really helps with this trick. IMO the hardest part is getting used to the boats pull once you are backwards. The tramp can not simulate that and no one likes to land backwards as 22+ MPH from 12 feet up.... _________________ PEACE

dude, buy "the book" and check out the spinning dvd... they pretty much answer any and every question you might have about off axis stuff... kyle knows what he is talking about, so give that a shot... they also give a lot of trampoline examples and instruction too, so i think that this instructional would be a good investment for you...

hyperlitesonofabitch, I guess I can take that as a compliment.
I'm old and have been in the game a long time, I should know a lot but I'll be the first to admit I don't know everything.
My sig is from a song, name the song and you are my hero.... he he... _________________ PEACE

| hey hyperlitesonofabitch, have u ever heard of Lake Burton in GA? my friend has a lakehouse up there and we go every summer for a couple weeks and wakeboard. and i can only imagine how boring it would be without wakeboarding. swimming and jumping off the dock would get old after the first day |
