I did a search on this and could not seem to find what I was looking for. My question is how exactly do you get the speaker wire through the tower so it is not simply dangling from the speakers to the amp. I had planned on simply drilling one hole at the bottom of the tower and one at the top and using some sort of wire to fish it through. But a problem came up in that I did not realize the joints were solid on the tower so I could not fish the wire all the way through. Should I drill holes on each side of the joints and just have wire exposed there? Or should I just say screw it and pin the wire to the tower on the outside? I don't want to go drilling all sorts of holes in the tower, it seems like a pain in the butt. Thanks in advance for any advice.

When we ran ours we drilled into the top ran the wire down at the top of the first joint there was a hole for the wire so we pulled it out there. We then drilled another hole past the joint then we only had to drill a hole in the plate where the tower hooked on the boat. I would also recomend going to your local car audio place and getting some gromits, heat shrink wire cover and some audio conduit. By using these you will clean up the look. Don't be affraid to drill above and below the joints. You can make it look clean. If you have any questions a car audio place they could probably answer some questions as well. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help, looks like I'm just gonna have to put a little bit more work into it to make it look clean.

our tower already had the holes in it and everything since it has a light on the top of it (stock). we just ran it straight up through to the top where there were also holes to pull it up through. thanks to MC for that.

Just make sure, if your tower is collapsible, that you run the wire to the stationary side...usually the front poles of the tower.

nickdakoolkat, ah ok cool.

Its produced by XTP I believe, so should have some small wiring holes in the front feet (take look).

I have never been able to utilise them though as they're so small!

Best suggestion would be to drill a small 10-18mm hole in the leg at the bottom (2-3 inches from where it hits the deck). pull the wiring out and dress the hole with a rubber grommet. Then use a neautrik speakon 4-pole connector and chassis connector to get it into the boat with a clean look.
Cover all wiring in black heat shrink tubing to keep it looking tight.

Hunt those parts down on the internet or decent local hardware store, they won't be more than a few bucks and are easy to wire up.
