I've been trying these for about 2 weeks now. I get the spin and everything that's the easy part but I can't visualize passsing the handle so I try to land with my left hand behind my back and I slide out. how do I land this.

| try slowing the boat to about 19 mph and go from inside of the wake to the outside, edging heelside, and do the spin. it is a lot easier because you get less line tension from going slow and you can pull in easier to do the handlepass. |

can you do an ollie BS 180 WakeTech? Getting that dialed in helped me tons. ohio_wake's advice is good too...start small, learn it right, then take it HUGE! _________________ 1989 Supra Comp TS6M, 06 GLI for haulin'.

No haven't tied the ollie yet, I just figured I'de learn it going big. I can get the spin off easily but maybe I should slow it down. Do you actually pass the handle ? my mental block just tells me the only way to land is with it wrapped behind my back _________________ I Love The Smell of Butta In The Morning |

| WakeTech, try passing the handle and do what feels more comfortable. Personally, I would try to pass the handle because that will help a LOT more in the long run, even if it takes longer. And it is easier to land IMO. I have only done them inside-out though. |

The ollie is nice to learn b/c the crashes aren't bad since you are close the the water. I always pass the handle though so I can practice it for my HS BS 3. Plus it looks cooler when you pass the handle. _________________ 1989 Supra Comp TS6M, 06 GLI for haulin'.

89comp, the in-to-out goin is not painful at all. i had a jacked knee last week (i still do, but now i have a brace) and learned my switch bs 180's that way and wrecked a bunch, since it was a complete different spin to me, and it didn't bother me.
i always thought the BS 180 was really hard until i went to the BYT and learned a switch FS 360 going slow, and then i started to learn my bs 180's that way and it worked perfectly.
good luck though WakeTech |

| remember to not turn until the way down, also I take just a easy cut at the wake, just enough to get over to the other side. Definetly work on ollie bs 180 |

when i was learning these i slowed the boat down to 15-16 mph. passing the handle makes these MUCH easier. try them from inside to out as previously suggested. once you get your pop from the wake, jerk the snot out of the handle to your front hip and reach for the handle. take a seated approach too, this will keep the line tension low and maximize your pop. some one the water thoughts
1 ) seated position
2) pop
3) jerk it
4) pass it |

| im working on thoes now, but I find the ts bs to be easier. Im practicing surface 3's, and being able to pass the handle on thoes real quick, then do a surface 3 at the top of the wake. in theory, I just need to start poping, but I have yet to land one. |

if you are landing them wrapped there are 2 things you must do to not slide out.
1. look in opposite direction of travel. this means dont look at the boat when landing not anywhere near it, more like the trail in the water your board just made after cutting thru it.
2. break at waist to w/ chest over toes to prevent being pulled over onto heels
And dont even tell me that keith lymans method to late blind 180, landing wrapped isnt the sickest heelside backside 180 you've ever seen. _________________ Mark Kenney, 1983-2002

Last week I had my bs 3s dialed in pretty nicely, but this weekend I have been just going off axis and its a mess. I am not even sure how I am landing and it has been getting on my nerves because I had it better then my fs 3s, now its the opposite. Could it be that I am spinning of the wake to soon?

| scooter, yep. Without knowing anything else, my guess would be you're trying to spin it early and going o/a. |

u don't need to handle pass or do it wrapped for a hs 180
simply if your coming from the left side in on heel side hold the rop with your right hand only and then do it much easier way 2 learn
then when u get good practice the handlepass
