say I make a toeside cut in, jump the wake, and then say do a 180 and then land back down on that same wake and heelside edge back out the direction I came in? basically jus a bigger ollie i guess but im going out in a bit and jus wanted to seee if any one had pointers. cuz obviously I cant jus fly in becuase then i would cross the wake, so i dunno. anyone have any pointers for the IL kid

you would probally have to ollie straight up before you got to the peak of the wake

i have never tried it so i dont know

go on wakeboardmag.com and there is a video of this guy doing it on there .... there is also a video of someone doing a powerslide .... amazing

in kieth lymans last vid he did a backroll like that. It was sick. Watch it (do a search) and see what he does.

im pretty sure if you went up toe edge and did a 180 you would have to go back switch toe edge to carve away from the wake if you went to heel edge you would cut through the wake, but i could be wrong.

HyperRash, you are correct. you edge in toeside , but very slowly , as if you were just starting out and not knowing what the heck you were doing. Contrary to doing an air on a quarterpipe with a skateboard , you do not want to lean into it. Remember that its just water and you can break right through it so just ride up the wake straight. The wake is loaded with energy so all you have to do is ollie straight up. over time you can move in faster and ollie higher. when you smack it just right , it will look like you are actually riding up and then riding down. most people will be watching your board so it will look pretty sweet , but if you watch your head , youre really not moving far in any direction at all. I guess my point would be to start out nice and easy , and progress as you would with anything else.
