k ive seen wakesufing and it looks cool, but i wanna know how you start....do you just exit the boat with the boart while your movin...or do you start from a stop? kinda of a stupid question but ive really never seen it done in person. and another thing...i ride behind an outboard if that makes starting off any different.

Please do NOT wakesurf behind a outboard....

You seriously could die.

LFADAM, So do you actually wakesurf behind that thing, or just ride around on a wakesurfer with a short rope?

So....why are you standing on a kneeboard 15' behind the boat?

sorry if i make anyone mad with this post...

i don't really think wakesurfing is really wake"surfing" when you are still holding onto the rope. it's an attempt to wakesurf, but it is more like wakeskating at a close spot. i need more weight to surf behind our boat though. i've tried with my wakeskate, which should be close to the same, but not a big enough wave.

ohio_wake_2008, I doubt it. You probably need a bigger board. I wakesurfed behind my unweighted I/O on a carbon fiber skimboard.

I agree with the holding onto the rope=no wakesurfing but until Friday thats all I can do.
