I would think the fact that your being pulled at 18-22 mph. on water might have something to do with it. Maybe that your flipping a lot bigger of a board? You decide.

the reason kickflips are so much easier is because the board is right below you on the flick. but for heel flips your leg can get in the way.
go try both on a skate and you'll definatly see a difference. i can't do either but tramp stuff crosses over a bit to water feel.
and yes they can be done in the flats, go watch danny hampson ride.

thats definitely an opinion, which shouldnt be annnounced as a fact

Agreed che blanc, I've heard both stories. I personally learned kickflips first so I think they're easier, but I have a buncha friends who say the opposite.
Don't know why heelflips haven't been done on a wakeskate yet, difficult kickflip variations have been thrown, seems kinda unusual that a simple heelflip wouldn't have preceeded those.

| guys bring a wakeskate on a trampoline and try to do a heel flip with your feet completly on the board, you should be able to do a double like that if you wanna try it on the water. IMO. it's just a differnt thing than a heelflip on a skateboard. go try it

This little kid can land a kickflip, but when you heelflip, there is a huge delay because unlike the kickflip, you need to have your toes hanging off the edge, and since the board is in the water, you need to wait till you are in the air to even begin arranging your feet to setup for the flip, then you kick it, and by then, you're done.

Bruky, i am sorry but...I DONT BELIEVE YOU...i highly doubt that that little kid with no shoes and obviously riding at around 15mph(look at the wake) can land a kickflip...

im saying that i can heelfip and do diffrent heelfip variations on a skateboard, but i cant kickflip unless im on at least a 3 stair, and then around 4-5 stairs i can throw varial flips...i just cant flick it without pushing the board around or into the ground...heelfips feel so natural to me and most of the people i ride with

i can land heelflips with a skate deck on a trampoline all the time, but when I use my wakeskate on the tramp it is harder. The board is much larger and i have to put my foot way in front of me to get my foot out of the way of the board. I think thats why it hasnt been landed on a wakeskate. with a kickflip you just kick your foot forward and down, and with a heelflip you have to kick down and out because the board will hit the back of your calf.

Heelflips to some people are easier, and vica versa.

| Heh, I thought the same thing che, except I have personal experience with landing a trick once & not doing it again since then. Sometimes you have freakish days where you get blessed with talent for a few hours.

So Bruky was it a joke, saying 'look at the little guy trying to kick the board in the air'? I sensed 100% sarcasm and thought it was kind of funny, but now I want to know, please dont let me down by saying that was a legitimate claim. I also thought che blanc's reply was a reverse-sarcasm kind of sarcasm
Seems like heelflips could be possible, but you would have to really stomp on the landing bc of the separation off your feet. Hmm- someone sticking something thought to be impossible on a wakeskate--- its probably time to accept that its going to keep happening.
