Too big? Maybe, looks like the XLV now has a competitor. KDub, how much does that bad boy go for, do you know?

I rode behind the 2004 23 vlx and it was huge. Like 8 inches wider then the 21 too I think. Wake was great, but I don't think I need a boat that big. The 21' boats are fine.

does it have some sort of 502 or big block engine? Surely a 350 won't push that on plane quick enough with people and gear and ballast and the wedge

K-DUB, I'm not really sure. But there were about 8 people in it (plenty of room!), and I think only the stock ballast, no sacs. If I recall the stock ballast was like 1200 lbs? The wake was big, but no better then a "regular" vlx with like 2500. It was not bigger then foammesh's 21 vlx with like 3000.
