I had a 1983 Ski Nautique 2001 and never had to do anything with the motor. As long as I ran the boat every week it would startup without any problems. If I went 2-3 weeks without running the boat I would have to start the engine with some starting stray. Cannot complain about the cost/use that I got out of my $6,500 boat 12 years ago.

Make sure you do a compression test on any old boat that you are looking at buying.

The one that has been maintained well.

Wink
I can agree about the PCM 351 in the Nautique 2001's though. Have had my '85 for about 4 years now. It has 1931 hours on it now. Was rebuild around 1500 hours, before I got it and still starts and runs like a dream. (*Knock on wood*)
