Yo,
I am putting speakers on my pole and need a design for a 6 x 9 box that is easy release. I was gonna go with some 6 1/2s in some PVC cans but i need the 6 x 9 for more watts. I have came up with a design using a steel rod through the pole using u bolts to hold it up. but that wouldnt be easy release. thanks

this is the speaker box

Rydog is correct. Ryno gear make some brackets that look pretty good. and are quick release. Wakeboardbaots.com sells them i think. NIce brackets but they are not cheap.

you dont need 6X9's to handle more power. This is one of the biggest misconceptions in mobile audio. Power is not what blows speakers, distortion does. When car audio mags test subs they are normally hooked up to a 1000 watt amp. They just dont run the sub beyond its limits. 6X9's dont sound as good as round speakers, due to there shape. I would stick with 6 1/2's

Check out www.diyTower.com, there's some good resources for both mounts and building your own cans out of PVC.

Deperatly need some slider & ramp plans for the site (hint, hint)

Bill
