Tried the dumper this weekend...it is a cushier landing if you get the timing right. It does take some practice for the timing. I think it's definitely worth it. Experiment w/reg. wake jumps until you get the hang of it. Then move on _________________ Don't let go of the rope |

| Ive watched some good riders do it to practice tantrum to blinds- the landing is soft in the wash and there is enough slack in the line to pass the handle around after the landing. |

| I can see doing it if you don't have a clean wake or if you are learning a new trick but other than that it is pointless IMO |

| for all of those who were wondering, some pros explain it as the "foam pit of wakeboarding", because there is so much slack on the rope at the end, and the wash is usually pretty soft, so falling doesnt really hurt as much. Check out the new issue of Wakeboarding Mag, itll show you. pretty muhc, you turn the direction that the person is cutting in, as they are starting their cut towards the wake, and then turn the boat back in a straight liine. theres more to it than that, but thats just a short explanation. |

| for all you guys who don't have the magizine. it's a light turn in the same directiong as the rider is edging. (if a goofy rider is doing a heelside jump, the driver turns right.) to idealy get the effect you have it timed so the wake is at its steepest and the wake hasn't washed yet. and shaggyboarder, the rope is actually supposed to have slack at the end. it's more of a trainging tool than a double up. it's supposed to make it so you haev more time to get balanced out. |

| I read about it then I saw Collin Harrington use it a lot at the TAA for his TS Blind 5s. He actually didnt turn and turn back in the middle of the trick. It works fine if you are just making a slight turn the whole time. It basically makes the wake steeper giving you more upward pop and also gives you less line tension to do handle passes. |

| good point, only problem is that eventually you hit your own rollers. plus your sending them everywhere, which could really piss other people off. |

| midwest wake, how so? Its a very gentle curve. Not like a U-turn. Its probably like 25 degrees. |

When the wake is dumped out just a little it really helps build the wake for a much cleaner and easier pop. I use it all the time, and it helps tons. What u do is turn in towards your rider to pull the wake in then turn slightly so the wake forms an outward curve towards your rider. _________________ Only live once, why waste. |

| Thomas P., youre right. doing something to give you confidence and prevent injuries is stupid and cheating. lets burn all seatbelts, helmets, and foam pits. and while we're at it lets kick all the kids in the shins who skate on grass or learn to ollie stationary cuz its cheating. hey if it prevents injury or helps me learn something faster wtf cares. |

gotta' agree, might as well tell all those guys learning to do 360 backflips over 45 foot gaps, 30 feet in the air on 200 pound machines that using a foam pit to save their backs is cheating. _________________ YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWW!!!! |

| haha, yeah. its designed to help you figure out the specs of the trick before getting pulled over in the air. people who say things like "its cheating" probably havent gotten any serious injuries with the sport, or dont value their body. please thomas p., go out, huck a new trick at your normal speed, get a really bad cuncussion in the water, then get back to us on how wack the dumper and foam pits and grass is... |
