The only reason to make the ends sharp, would be if you're pile driving the boards into the ground
Since blockonut has a post hole digger - sharpening the ends will gain him nothing
And as mentioned. It's easier to plumb the posts from a flat bottom than a pointed bottom |

i think he took the bottom part that goes into the ground and attached a piece of plywood to the bottem sunk it and put the cynder blocks and bags of cement on top of the ply wood _________________ www.Crawlinbc.com |

| Yeah, countersink the trex a bit then throw in some screws... works like a charm, although watch out for the screw heads popping up - they tend to do that once in a while... |
