Does anyone think that a sal flip is possible? Its a really neat trick on skateboard but I was just wondering if you could do it on wakeskate. _________________ Yea..uh..yea well Dracula called and he is coming over tonight for you and I said ok. |

i had no idea, but i looked it up
sal-flip-named after sal barbier, do an air, grab the nose of the board (while jumping above it) spin it 360 (the same rotation as a heelflip) and then land back on it. |

i think that this would be possible. people are already doing w2w indy shove its and i dont think it will be long before something like a kickflip to indy will start to appear on wakeskates. a sal flip might be more difficult but i think that maybe an indy fingerflip will be done pretty soon. wakeskating is progressing like crazy. _________________

| The Sal flip IS named after Sal Barbier, but it's not just a fingerflip. I think it might actually flip in the kickflip direction (fingerflips flip like heelflips), but it also does a shuvit so it'd be more like a varial fingerflip. I'll hafta go watch my Plan B videos, there's footy of Sal throwing one off a ledge at the beginning of one. |

che blanc, you should try a kickflip to indy dude. its something new and it doesnt seem like it would be that much harder than a w2w kickflip or a shove it indy. pretty sure it hasnt been done, you could be the first and it would look sick! _________________

I'm gettin varial flips first and I ALWAYS film. There was only two of us ridin yesterday and we mounted the camera on seven small pieces of driftwood, hit record and rode for 30 min. then came back and turned it off
And I'm getting really close to varial flips _________________ ...island style... |

yea you like grab ollie and grab the nose of the board and just kind of spin it with your hand. not that hard with a skateboard but with a wakeskate it would be harder and you would have to have some good hang time..plus it might be harder because of the size of the board _________________ Yea..uh..yea well Dracula called and he is coming over tonight for you and I said ok. |

| i think it might be not too hard to get the rotation of it, but really grabbing it again and putting it back under your feet would be very hard |

that would look really tight to hold the nose a little, then spin it, then hold/tweak the grab afterward. how cool would that look, nose grab to "hand shove it" to a held seatbelt grab. _________________

| That would be so hard to flip the board like that and catch it with one hand though.. keep in mind its a 360 shove it |

| No, it's not a 360 shuvit, nor is it simply a hand shuvit. It's essentially a varial fingerflip, but it spins like a kickflip rather than a heelflip. |

Elevation, I wouldn't say that. You do nosegrab it, but it's a 180 shuvit with a fingerflip in the kickflip direction.
Unfortunately I can't upload the video I have of it since it's on VHS, but I can tell you where you might find it. If anybody has the Plan B video Virtual Reality there's a tribute to Sal Barbier at the end that shows him actually busting his signature move off of a ledge. |
