I ride behind a 17-foot bassboat with a pylon and 800 lb of fatsac's.
It's enough for me to be able to make all 180's, fs 360's and I almost hit my first tantrum the other day.
I've never ridden behind a wakespecific boat, but rode behind some waterski correct craft(I think) with a monster tower but no weight and it was much better than mine. Point being you can come a long way without the best boat.
Oh yeah, and I hit 3's behind my uncle's 15 feet bassboat w/ 90 hp outboard and no pylons or fatsac's.
