I don't consider my boat shitty at all. It is a far cry from a "real wakeboat" but it serves me quite well for now.

Check out the boat discussion section for tons of info on improving non-wake boats. Cool

The DIY section also has tons of great advice for improving boats.

If you have a 'crappy boat' learn your basics. Can you do all 8 180's?

Get to work.

Tahoe Q7

Added a tower.
Added 2 x 440lb FatSacs.
Added PerfectPass.
Added a big mirror.

... result was a decent wake boat for $29k new.

Perfect Pass is a brand of boat cruise control.
It allows you to set a speed and have the boat keep to it automatically.

It is standard on most wakeboats now.

derrickw41, i'd suggest getting the basics down before jumping to inverts. Can you go W2W?

Here is mine...

It throws a solid wake and is a good all around boat. (wake, fishing, boozing, riding, etc)

I would consider yourself lucky no matter how "shitty" your boat is. I have been riding for 10 years now. I went from a bass boat to a mastercraft, now guess what i have the joy of riding behind? a 14 foot aluminum with a 25hp. The only thing it is good for is ridin rails. So just be happy you at least have something to ride behind.

Just add more poundage like 300-400 in back and that or a little more up front. Theres plenty of fat chicks on the range to, offer them some hot dogs and your good to go. Cool

That is my boy.... He was 5. He is only 3 apples tall, so it is a little hard to tell.

With my sacs in, guys are throwing inverts behind it without any issue. My buddy has a new Nautique and my wake is not near what he can produce, but it is not bad.

Ethan31, No, there are no lakes in the 701 sadly. I ride Fish and Pelican Lake in Pelican Rapids, MN. The shops I go to are Scheels in fargo, and Paramount sports in fargo. Scheels has the best selection, of Ronix, Hype, and LF.

Never heard of Steamboat Lake, where is it?

EDIT: I see you ride on Leech, I've heard of it before, is it in Becker or Ottertail?

LFPIMP, can you PM me the MLS # or more information? It's probably out of my price range right now, but doesn't hurt to ask. Rode Lake Melissa last weekend, and it had better butter than I've ever had on Pelican, so I'll probably be shopping over there instead anyway. There were a couple of guys ripping it on a CSX220 that just put us behind the Bayliner to shame. (To at least have some on topic content).

Sucks that you're leaving the lake, but Lizzy isn't bad (assuming you are talking about the lake on the other side of 59) ... and I bet your folks might be saving some on property taxes. You should convince them to upgrade your boat with any profits / savings they get Cool

jjaszkow, Yes it is Lizzy on the other side of 59, its on the south shore. Its twice the house, for the same price. I'm a little bummed, we've had our place since the early 80's

As far as the boat goes, Pop wont budge an inch, he says it'll probably be the last boat he owns, which is a little depressing. I'm trying to start off by trying to convince him to buy use a jetski for wakeskating.

Would you like info on my place, or the lizzy place.
