To be honest I think wakeboarding hurts much more fall wise than wakeskating haha.

But, I did pull someone who had an arm through the handle, that's about it as far as bad wakeskating wipe outs.

Can you get popsicled on the water? I know that the board whacking you in the gooch probably still hurts, but it'll sink, which saves you from the most painful part of the popsicle.......the bounce off of your pelvis.

Yea in my expierience wakeboarding hurts way more. You can't catch an edge wakeskating. But I am not crazy trying pop shuvits and what not. I just like to ride and do surface tricks.

Elevation, Claredon hills?

And you skate? I thought nobody around here skates.

Where do you ride?

I am in Chicago.

I suck at spinning the board.

Most of my crashes involve me staring at my feet, board spinning around hitting me on the ankle bone (ouch), and not letting go of the rope until my face slams. All of this is about 1/4 of a second.

Due to the concentration on my feet I seem to never see the falls coming. Unlike wakeboarding where I am almost legendary (in my own mind) for 20 second long recoveries from bad positions. I tend to hurt myself more on the skate.

I know that your body tends to follow your eyes.... Do you ever get comfortable enough with a shuvit to do them without staring down at your own feet?

i was the kid colefooter was talking about. trying some move out in the flats i dropped the handle and my arm just happen to drop inside. the handle caught my arm and got dragged in the water for a good while. nothing serious, just some sweeling and i had to wear a splint. but yeah, that was my worst one.
