Well, since I don't even attempt the trick and am out of suggestions, I'm hoping you guys or gals can help her out.

She's been working on it for 2 seasons now and is getting frustrated.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Here are the things that I have done to get me closer to landing the trick. I have been really trying these the past couple of weeks and am getting close.

I started setting a more aggressive toe side cut. Once I can nail down the timing I would like to bring my cut in, but for now, I try to bring the heat! Come off edge and push at the top of the wake. Many instructional videos refer to this trick as a trip flip. Keep your shoulders back and don't throw the trick from the trough. Once you pop, throw your shoulders forward and roll, some people need to think about really throwing their lead shoulder to keep from going to crow. Also, (I have heard different opinions on this) let go with the back hand. Some say hold on for 3/4s of the trick, some say right away. I let go early because if I don't, I start bringing the trick to a scarecrow.

When you start to see shore, you don't want to look "up" at it because it will stop your rotation. Also don't look at the boat, this also causes my back leg to come around. As far as the landing, some things I have been trying to do... break forward at the waist and think about kicking back at the wake. This has help get me a little extra rotation. Also, to keep my back foot from coming around, I have been told to push the handle back towards the boat...

Waketrix has a pretty good section on these.

I hope that helps! Here is a video of one of my attempts from a few weeks ago.

Things I know I am doing wrong here, coming off edge too soon, not waiting on my pop, not getting enough rotation, and I am looking at the boat..... Just a few things to work on!

Good Luck!

She has the trip pretty good, a little more cut wouldnt hurt...but I think the biggest thing for her is to make sure she gets 100 percent of her pop. Looks like she was too focused on tripping and flipping, and not focused enough on getting pop->height->hang time.

she's not really snapping it off the wake. I think she may not be squaring up enough, which reall pops you straight up and trips you. she's kind of tucking up on a TS wake jump, which is just not the right technique. Although she may land some like that, she won't relly get them consistent until she get's the takeoff dialed. she's taking a cut that's aggressive enough, she just needs to square up a little more at the peak. when she rolls over, she needs to pull the handle in to the front hip, which speeds up the rotation. You really need to over-rotate from what you would think, cause you really have to land over your toes to get this one clean. you can land them flat and pull yourself up, it's just tricky cause you'll shoot back towards the wake and rebound back into the air.

I would say have her bring it harder oon her cut in, she looks like she is getting the pop, so I would say have her tuck in a little more and keep the handle a little tight, and those things together should get her around good.
