So i dont know what the deal is with my new gear but it seems to be one thing after another.

Many of you may have seen the other thread with the Obrien Natural that has the blemishes. I got that situation figured out and got a new board and everything was fine.

Had the new setup (natural and transits 06) out this weekend and they were great. It was HOT.....like 120+ hot so that could definitely be a factor.

I noticed on the binding that the sole by the toe was coming apart.....not sure if the sun caused the glue to melt but there is now a gap between the soft cushiony sole and the out lip of the binding.

My question is has this happened to anyone else? If it does not get worse then i dont see the need to return but if it does get worse than i will send them back.

Here is a photo of it. I will try to take some better ones but this should giv e you an idea.

i actually had this happen to me so i ended up taking them back and getting the 06 sphynxes which r cheaper and by far the most comfortable boot i've ever ridden in. I don't kno if the sphynx is for you but i'd def. take those transits back now b4 it's gets worse and trust me it gets worse

shaggyboarder, if you mess with it i think the warranty would be void though.

Seconded. Wakefrog repaired a torn set of Hyperlytes with Gorrila Glue. And they held.

///KE B()/R|)ER, If I were you, I'd send em in. You never know when it, the glue, will fail and make things much worse.

I wouldn't worry about it if you don't have a reliable dealer for warranty issues. That's not really a crucial area, it shouldn't affect you riding at all.

ummm... first off... support your local shop and they will support you...(getting stuff warrantied is so much easier at a local shop that supports the local scene)

second, My buddy has a pair of 07s and his are ungluing as well....

next contact LF directly and they will take care of you if you puchased them new!

second on what gmarkham1 said! Talk to LF, they've been amazing about returning my '06 watson handle. Got an email from the guy yesterday that said they were shipping out my brand new handle today. Very Happy As long as you have some proof that you bought it new you're golden

That's great but so many folks forget that not all of us have local shops. A buddy of mine got some LF Alpha bindings (against my advice) and they started coming apart. He got them from The House www.the-house.com which is way out there in Minnesota. After a quick phone call, they arranged to have him ship the bindings back and are going to give him a credit towards a new set of bindings, probably Sphynx or Transits, maybe Shanes (following my advice now Wink )

Son has the 05s and have ridden the s**t out of them. I just re-glued them last weekend after fixing one of the bolts. They are nice boots he loves them, I just got the 06's and love them.
If you can return them I would. If not just re-glue them. I used the rubber cement and it worked fine. The heat just melted the glue.
