is there an advantage to going faster?
im pulling at 17 mph with a tige 22v and between 65-70ft rope
i can go w2w with some decent air, but when im attempting bigger tricks is it easyer at a faster speed? |

| Hurley, is your wake clean? If you look at the edge of the wake and there is white water, you need to make some adjustments (and seeing as you're only going 17 mph, kick it up to 20ish). |

A few things.
1) You need to go fast enough so that the wake is not folding where you are going to cross it. You want a nice smooth hump. Depends on the boat and the line length.
2) As you go faster the water feels a little harder. It will help you if you notice that you have a lot of pressure on your hands when you are riding straight.
3) It can make the w2w distance narrower if you go faster.
4) Going faster makes the falls worse.
I am sure there are a lot of others, but those are the most important for my riding. |

I ride at i think 70' and about 22 mph. Have you tried moving around the wake to get both sides like that left side? _________________ It won't be easy, but when I get there it will be one of the most satisfying journeys of my life. |

| who cares about his helmet, i am one concuss away from wearing one. also don't add length to your rope, shorten it up and ride w2w smoothley before adding some length, everyone on this site is trying to prove something with rape length (sorry rope lenght) |

And I thought I was the only one who did that, except I pick up the reeds, and cat tails. _________________ 04 LF Trip 133

| hey u should work on "standing up" at the top of the wake.. it will give you a lil better jump--- its all apart of the "progressive edge" |

You need to move some of the weight around as well. And i'd suggest experimenting with different rope lengths and speeds to find out what you like best. _________________ It won't be easy, but when I get there it will be one of the most satisfying journeys of my life. |
