Hey everyone, I've been riding 3 times this year so far. I got my w2w's down but I'm not catching the huge air and hang time that I see other people doing.
Just from watching a pro video today I notice in my vid that I don't continue the progressive edge through the wake, I flatten out rite before I hit the wake. And when I land I land flat not on edge? Are those things needed?
If anyone could help critique my vid that'd be awesome!

The speed is in between 20-22mph... rope length, no idea. The camera is not zoomed in at all so just think of it being in real life.
Any suggestions?

well.. your wake might be kind of small first of all... what kind of boat are you riding? as for technique.... you're doing it right as far as i'm concerned... just keep getting out there and practicing, you'll start to notice yourself getting more and more air _________________ '06 LF Substance, Soon to be a 2011 Watson Classic!

You shouldn't flatten out at the end, a progressive edge means that you are slowly increasing your edge as you go in and you stand up at the top of the wake (not flatten out). _________________ It won't be easy, but when I get there it will be one of the most satisfying journeys of my life. |

bvlaar, your form isnt bad. Its not perfect but whos is? I think one of the biggest issues you are having is lack of wake. I rode behind an 18 foot bayliner for 6 years, and we put a 500lb fat sack in the middle, which helped a little. This is something i tried to deny until i got an inboard. Having a boat that is known for wakeboarding is key, I went from a bayliner to a ski nautique 2001. It was a huge transition and the best thing i ever did. _________________ check it out http://www.wakesiderides.com/rides/index.php?page=out&id=1562 |

I've never ridden behind another boat so I can't compare my wake. But yea it is small compared to other boats. Im in a 2000 MasterCraft Prostar Sammy Duvall edition. (yea its a slolam boat:P)
I'm gonna get a chance to ride behind another boat when I goto Florida (O'town)
I just got back from a sesh, I had 2-3 good jumps. I've just kept on practicing. Got ollie 180's dialed! ahaha
Thanks for the help guys!
