If you look at the trick list on this site and look at an Iron cross it says that it is a wrapped Moby Dick. Then if you scroll down a little more it shows a wrecking ball which is a wrapped tantrum with a backside 360. But a Moby Dick is a backside spin.....so arn't these two tricks the same thing only different names?

Yeah. These tricks might have the same rotations but they can be done differently. Its weird like that, like sometimes the handle is over head and other times its normal. Sometimes things are done switch and have different names. I'm not sure what the case is on these two tricks.

I still dont see the point of having two completly different names for a trick which most likely has suttle differences. I just dont get it, I was hoping someone could point out a difference in these two tricks....

Its not done switch, so please dont say anything about a skeezer or a Fat chance, going by the description this trick seems exactly the same.

They look different (are executed differently). Like, a Moby Dick is a Tantrum with a BS 3, but the rotation is done during the roll. Erik Ruck is now doing a Tantrum and on the way down does a BS 3. It looks totally different, but technically they are the same trick. Just keep in mind that the pros named the moves, not WakeBoarder.com.

I think I know this despite the fact that I can't do either. I used to try a wrapped Moby Dick but it would come off differently. A wrecking ball is like a true Moby dick, but wrapped. the Iron Cross, is like a wrapped Moby Dick except you do kinda like Whirly thing with the handle. Shapiro did them in Shaft I believe. It's funny back when I would just huck $#!t I used to get close to these. Then I busted my leg and I started doing more reasonable progression.

Fauker, that's an Tantrum to FRONTside 3. I think Sean O'Brien tries them and/or might be landing them. There's also a clip in 24/7 or High Wake Drifters (can't remember which one) of Gregg Necrason attempting one.

I don't know about Shapiro doing Iron Crosses in Shaft 'cause I never buy anything from Bump (although Snap looks kinda cool) but I know he does some in Switch 22.
