Binding choice?

Ok well I leave for a month next Friday and need new bindings to replace the 06 sphinxs. I want a very stiff binding that will respond very well and hold me in on falls. I have narrowed my options down to the murrays, 3ds, or transits, although I really like closed toe. Aswell Im nervous about the boa system on the murrays breaking while I am away.

I got the 06 Murrays over winter and have been riding them all this year and haven't got a bad thing to say about them. Holds me in really well, only been ejected once. Now that they are broken in, I can get in and out super easy. Warm too. No boa problems either.

I ride the transit myself and a riding buddy of mine the murrays...the boa system is brilliant imo, although I'm not a big fan of closed toe myself, so I prefer the transhit Smile

They both hold me in great and the transits(which I've ridden most) gives me good leg support and have soft base to ease off landings

i like my 06 cwb fuses, they hold you in really well, dont think ive ever popped out. Once they are broken in they are easy to get in and out of.

Personally, I think that the transits are a bit too tight, but it's personal preference. I'd go with the murray's

I can't say enough good things about the cells. I love LF and all things being equal I will always buy LF but the cells are just too comfy, nice and stiff and I've only come out of them once this entire season on a 3 gone horribly wrong. I've heard great things about the 3DS but I couldn't get me feet in them. I wrode the Cells my first time out this year for half an hour and my feet were in heaven.

i used to ride temets (open toed murrays 2004) they are pretty good bindings.... i love em! i wanted to get the new murrays which were closed toed but i ended up getting 3ds
rode it for the first time last weekend... they are awesome!!! i liked the 3ds much better because it's so easy to put on... just stick in your pull the laces and strap em... the boa system is a hassle sometimes... it gets tiring to twist after hours of riding. i ride mostly cable. good thing about the boa system is you get to adjust it to the right pressure you want... can't go wrong with closed toed bindings

cresko, the 3DS is about the stiffest binding out there, the back of them feels like there's a plastic plate inside them ore something. The murrays are going to be less supportive that your sphynxes, and while the boa system is fairly reliable, if it happens to break on the Murrays, they really can't be fixed because the cable system is all internal. The transit are slightly less stiff than the 3ds' and have a tighter foot opening. They break in very quickly though, and once they do, they are very comfy. Cells are a great choice also, they require almost no break in, they're super comfy right out of the box, even without being heat molded. My only gripe witht them is that I just can't cinch the laces tight enough. I mean they get tight when you pull, but you just can't get the lace lock down far enough to keep them tight.

Im with leviwynnyk, I love my Murrays, and have had no probelms.

The Cells are the sickest bindings. never been ejected, unreal support/hold/comfort as well. The laces can be tightened to that "locked in" feeling, they just need to be the right size and ridden a couple of times. if they are boarderline too small, then the laces may not have enough slack to tighten fully.

DO NOT try them on unless you can commit to buying them, because once you do, you will want them, and everything else will leave you feeling like they're missing something.

I have both the Ronix Cell boots and the LF Transit boots, I have last years transits and they are hands down the best open toed boot on the market, you won't regret the transits. If you are going closed toe, stay away from HL, the LF and Ronix boots are much better for the same price.

Thomas P., I completely agree because I went into my shop just to check the stuff out, tried the boots on, next thing I know I'm buying new boots and a new board...

i dont know what any soccer shoes feel like, let alone indoor ones before breaking in.
