I just bought my fat sac off ebay. Now I just need to figure out where to place it. I rode with a guy that had an old nautique v-drive and he put his in the middle of the boat next to the motor. Another Guy I rode with had a Tahoe I/O and he put his in the bow. I was just wondering where I should put mine. I have an CuddyCabin I/O with a tower and 4 blade prop- right now the wake is fairly small and crests very close to the back of the boat. With my tower it only puts me @32 +/- off the back of the boat. I want to push the sweet spot back further so I can use my new spectra line which is a base of 55' and 15' of section. As is with the new line I will be riding in the whitewash. Where should I put this 600 lb sac at? Thanks for any advice.
In an IO you can tilt the drive up slightly, driving down the stern.
Because you can do this, I recommend putting the weight up front and if you notice it noseheavy, then you can us the outdrive trim to drive the stern down to level.
This will also give you trim options to help gettin the boat on plane.

I see what howabout means - but the poll shows the middle winning. I have done a little research and it seem like putting it in the front should make the wake push over futher back. Just wondering what effect putting it in the middle will have on the wake? Anyone know?
