I did my own 20 hour service, saved me about $350. Anyway, when I pumped out the transmission fluid I only got about a quart. Prob less. I got all around with the tube as best I could, and even raised and lowered the nose of the trailer. I used a simple hand pump for pumping fluid into an I/O outdrive. The pump worked, there just wasn't alot of fluid to get too.

Any tricks to getting more out?

And I did a search h8ers~

No that is about all you'll get out. If had some nasty stuff in there just change it again after driving it around some.

Some folks change it out four or five times...particularly if you've experienced water in there for some reason...

Another tick is to use kerosene mixed with your ATF, then change it out several times - the sump capacity really isn't that big anyway...

You're doing the right thing...
