|
|
just picked up the new to us 02 x-star, the cover on it is one of the real heavy grey canvas types, doesnt fit super tight, and it straps down weird and looks kinda last minute jerry-rigged. it also has 2 snaps in the middle, one over the rear ski pylong and one just inboard of the drivers seat, and the one over the pylon has beat the crap out of the top of the pylon we are going to have to machine a new one cause it just looks crappy.
anyways, anyone know what the newer tight fitting mastercraft covers go for? or if they are the best bet?
thanks |

| I had a towable cinch cover on mine that had ratchet straps on the rear. It didn't have any snaps or anthing. It's like the one on my current boat. I'm no sure where you can get one, but I think it was a factory option. |

I would think the best cover for a MC would be through MC or a dealer.
For best VFM, I'm not sure, try a few boat shops in your area for quotes. |

I found this on a mastercraft forum:
The information I have is, Apex Canvas 1-865-458-8828, Joe or Lisa. They started business after working for another cover company and last time I talked to them they only had patterns for the boats from MC when they started. They would make a custom cover, but would have to have the boat at their shop for about a week or more to make one, then the would also have a pattern for others to be made from. Call them and they may by now have a set of patterns for other some other brands of boats or MC models they may have custom built. |

| Be prepared to pay $600 to $1000 for a well made custom cover for your boat. There's a big price difference between the bad cheapies and the good custom covers. |
