I think I got a broken heater core, I will inspect further tonight. Hot water leaks on the floor under the dash. Anyone replace one? How hard is it? If it's simple enough, maybe I will right up a little DIY Manual and place it on the WB. Thoughts.

It's a cake walk.

4 screws should remove the kick panel, but know that you'll never get those screws back in the right place and that you'll end up screwing them back in making different holes. I think a new heater core from Heatercraft is something like $98. Good luck, it's a pretty simple job. A cordless drill will make the kick panel job much easier, but honestly it seems like it might take an hour at most.

NAPA part no: 660-3100

If you pull it out and take it to NAPA they should be able to match it up. We did that and it cost something like $25. I don't remember the make and model car it came from. Sorry

Pretty simple. It was a bihat getting the hoses off, so I just cut them.. I am going to NAPA after work to get a core. I think a 79 LTD core might do the trick, according to PN forum. So I let you know. Thanks.
