so i just got my wakeskate in the mail and i gotta put the griptape on now. ive seen some boards where theres a tiny space inbtween each sheet of griptape, should i do it like that or line it all up evenly? also how do i prevent bubbles?

I would go for one full piece if you can get one that big , the way to apply is with a spray bottle of soapy water (very little soap) spray on board and tape and it will give you enough time to get it set where you want.

Then press on with a spatula or something made of hard plastic or metal with no sharp edges you can smooth it out and get the water out from underneath , start from a corner and work your way out to the other side.

i usually just peel the back off slowly and press the grip down from the middle outwards so you don't get any bubbles. also roughing up the top of the board with sand paper makes the grip stick best but you shouldn't need to.

i don't know how well that water and soap trick Nils_Lars suggested would work with crappy grip tape cuz the glue might not be the best but i've never heard of that or tried that before.

Thats the way you put on window tint or any kind of vinyl sticker and as long as you use a scraper of some sort all the water comes out from underneath.
