I think any boat is better than no boat. That said.....
I would post your budget and let people go to town searching for what they think is better in the general area. I would be a bit concerned about the HP. But that is not to say you couldn't get a pull behind that boat, just that it is under powered. |

I think it'd be a good starter boats. Some of the best I.O wakes i've been behind are the shorter ones. If your getting started go for it. If your not, go for something else (older inboard) |

id say im an intermediate rider, i have my own board and have been riding for about a year now, ive just had to find pulls. |

I started out riding behind an 87 Thundercraft (16') with a 120 HP 4 cyl.
Here's a pic:
It was a blast. Sure, the wake is not great, and the time to get out of the water is measured in minutes instead of seconds, but it gets you out and playing.
FWIW, if they're asking a nickel over 1800 for that thing it's too much. I sold mine for 2200 5 years ago. |
