I like going around 19. I like the bigger wake, but i have to cut really hard from far out. Its really awkward to do tantrums from a straight angle. What speed should i be going?

What boat do you ride behind? You should probably be riding any where from 21-25 MPH.

Its an aftershock jet with a tower, and i usually ride with a full boat so the wakes pretty nice.

I used to ride around 23ish because I thought it was the correct thing to do (didnt know better at the time). Then one day I just started riding at different speeds for find what I liked. I now ride at 21 because its what feels comfortable. There are a few factors for speed but I think the most important should be comfort.

I actually ride at 20.5 when I'm behind my friends x-star. I dont know why but I have been progressing like crazy since I slowed down the boat

Thats what happened to me, i started going slower because i thought i would be more comfortable, now it could be holding me back. Im going to play around higher speeds next time i go out.

Yep, exactly. I ride at about 22 on a normal set, slower for new spins or inverts. Just ride where the wake is the best, but don't go too slow or else the wake may not be solid enough to give you a nice pop.

It depends on the boat. I ride around 24 mph. I cant stand a soft wake.

I think it depends not only on the boat, but how much weight is in it. The more you have the faster you have to go to keep the wake for washing out. We were in an X-Star PWT Edition last week, with 2700 lbs of ballast and we had to go at least 26.5 mph to keep the wake from washing out.

In the SAN with factory ballast we usually go about 21.3 mph.
