I finally got behind a boat for the first time this year courtesy of oshensurfer's kindness. How excited do you get when you get to dust off the cobwebs and get wet? I was pumped to go, but afterwards, even sunburned and sore as a mofo, I am 10x as excited! I swear, behind behind the boat on a beautiful day w/ good people is about as good as life can get for me. Just confirmed the love I have for this sport / lifestyle.
Thanks Scott! We'll do a kiddie version soon. Get better soon D$, we need you to heal so your girl can tan and bring hotties!

nice
I've been out about 4-5 times now. Saturday was one of the best days! 85-90 and zero wind. One of those 100 thousand dollar days!!
Makes it all worth while

This lifestyle is rad.

Good stuff. What happened to DPierce?
Have been out, but this weekend was the first time I actually ventured into the water.... Here is a pic of I took as I was leaving. Everyone was up at the grill having a burger while I cleaned and covered...... GOD I love Summer....

| Derek, being his usual "throw caution to the wind" type of guy he is, started throwing raleys on his first run of the season.... His first one was sweet - easily could have landed switch if he was so inclined. His second one he may have left a bit early or something because he had zero height and couldn't get his feet back under him at all to land. Ate it at about 45 degrees to the water fully laid out. Easily one of the nastiest crashes I have seen in person - it hurt just watching it! He tore all his sternum muslces/tendons a year or two ago and aggravated the old injury.

That's his motto for sure! It's only smacked him in the face 9 or 15 times, so I think it's working well for him! Well, at least for us!

damn I wish I was 20 again...I keep forgetting, my mind might be young, but my body is getting older! HAHA Yea great time's yesterday, I was actually able to get my TS180 back, then a raley, was thinking of trying the tantrum, but figured I would give the ol' raley one more try.....ugghhhh
Yea thanks scott, the water was much better int he a.m. then the p.m. Boy I did NOT want to wake up this morning. Abby came back to our place and we proceeded to finish off all the wine/beer all the while watching that huge lightning storm till late int he night! A few pain killers and a 6 pack of silver bullet sure helped...but not this morning!
Don't worry, I'll still be out there, and I will bring more ladies next time!

jt09, I told you you bruised my arm. AND you did!!! HAHAHA. I slowly got my sore as hell ass out of the shower this morning and looked at my arm and sure enough. Made me relive that crash again. OUCH! Hope D is ok. I thought we were going to have to dive in and rescue him!
D$ will need to come out and bring hotties even if he's not riding, though. Oh my, I say with a sigh. We need to be better about photo documentation of our outings.
Glad you guys could make it out. It was a blast. We'll do it again soon.

Dpierce37, Sounds like you are doing good. That was easily one of the best crashes I've seen in person. I turned around just in time to witness it too.
Oh and that storm was CRAZY last night. Blew a tree flat over at my house and my neighbors fence was literally pulverized by the straight line winds!~ Welcome back to TX!

| K-dub, not a lawn dart...that requires air and a more vertical entry, head first. This one was almost like landing a raley in the same position as it is supposed to be at the apex. Homey got his cage rattled pretty good along w/ the chest injury. I would bet that he was no more than 5-6' off the water at the highest point.

To be even more fair, I give dude mad props for even trying that trick.
I gave up on that one after a concussion a few years ago, and never had the desire to even think about trying it again since.
That trick scares me.
still though.....5-6' is f'n HUUUUGE!

Dpierce37, Niiiiice. Watched a friend try a toeside 5 and catch the lip of the wake right at knee height, this threw the rest of his body slapping into the water. Knocked the wind clean out of him. We were ready to bail as well. He came out of the water and his chest was bright red. Ouch.
jt09, glad to hear your back on the water.
oshensurfer, I can provide entertainment for pulls if I come out.

Hey now! I had to remember to fill the tank and put the plug in, I can't remember EVERYthing. I'll need to stash the camera in the glove box and leave it there so we don't make this mistake again.
D$, Tell A & A that I'm bringing sippy cups for their wine next time! HAHAHAHA. Kidding... It cleaned right up.
haugy, anytime, bro. But follow JT's rules.

We got out for the first time on Mem day weekend. On Fri. we hit the water late afternoon before the throng arrived and had good water. I was pretty pleased with myself and was really happy with the new spectra lines (first run with them). Then came Monday went out and the water was chopped all to hell and it seemed that all I did was fight to stay up. I made three runs (falls) and called it a day. Hopefully we will get out again on Sunday and have some decent water so I can prove to myself that it was the water and I was just tired from the weekend.

We had our first tournament of the season to kick the year off. I had a blast and threw down my best intermediate run I have ever done... only to get whipped by one of our local up and comers - an 11 year old. It was a blast and we had a great turn out. Its awsome to see these kids out there killing it.
