I just ordered a capix helmet, but was wondering if the flap of the helmet catches the water when you take a hard fall. It just seems that if it does, it'll pull pretty tight on your jaw. _________________ Anthony. C |

The ear flaps sort of prevent you from blowing your ear drum when you land on the side of your head. They won't catch and they won't pull on your jaw. Helmets just help if you fall forward because the brim of the helmet sort of breaks the water. If you fall backwards though, there is more surface area, therefore giving you a big a$$ headache and a sore neck. _________________

I have a Capix helmet. I wear it forward and haven't ever had any problems with it. I only use at the cablepark though, which is slower than riding behind a boat. _________________ Bondo saved my wakeboard's life!
