so i let my friend ride my board today and he breaks my bindings.... i have an o'brien board... are most bindings universal? any suggestions on ones to get?

To my knowledge, most bindings will fit on most boards regardless of brand.
As for suggestions, there are a bunch of great bindings out there. As a general rule, I would say buy the best bindings you can afford, since that's the piece of equipment you are in direct contact with. Not necessarily as crucial as snowboard boots, but same concept...

i would reccomend a pair of 06 radon bindings, very comfy and great support

freshpimp008, check buywake.com, wakeside.com, and there are many other online stores if you do not have a local shop. Don't be hesitant to buy some older bindings, I ride some 2003s and they are working out fine. Most bindings are universal, though just tell us what ones your are looking at getting before you make the purchase.

binding are usually universal except the screws that hold them in place, some need bigger some need smaller, as for older binding, from what i hear about the new i think the older ones are made better
