Differance between 05 and 06/07 roam?

Is there a big differance in the ride of the 05 roam compared to the 06/07?

Is it worth the extra $ for the newer roams?

I wont be hitting sliders, just riding it like a normal board.

your not gonna get the pop that the other boards give you, why do you want a roam if your not gonna use it on sliders

There are a ton of differences between the 05 roam and the new one. Yes it is worth it.

devon, The roam has considerable pop of the wake... Its the only board i ride behind the boat as well as sliders and I have many other boards. Its just overall a fun board.

the main differences between the 05 and 06/07 roams are that
a) the 05 has considerable bingind drag, because you have to bury the rail so hard to get any speed out of it, and the ends aren't wide enough to keep your bindings out of the water, and,
b) the 06/07's inside radius cut on the side allows it to flex torsionally, or twist, making it more pliable for unique presses and slides

bought an 05 roam last summer on closeout, rode it for the first time today and my bindings dragged on every cut out i made...it sucks...will prolly never ride it again, to much effort, i felt like i was fighting it the whole time, cutting in i was fine and did get some w2w with it, but still...don't buy the 05
