im looking for a cheap wakesurf board, i dont wanna spend too much cuz i dont live on a lake, so cheap is good lol. anybody know if the obrien alias is good? i have a 06 v-ride, w/ 500lbs and the wedge, so my wake is decent, what length board would be good, also, do people make there own? how much would that cost cuz building is fun for me. thx

im not an expert but the alias is a pretty nice board. it is great for the money

Alias seconded. Not a great board for sure, but you can surf on it, and you can get them for $200 all day long. I don't think there's a cheaper board out there,

You could build your own or buy used if price is an issue. The Alias is certainly not some magic combination of exotic materials and computer designed shapes. It looks pretty much like the old Cut N Jump hollow plastic kneeboard I had in high school.

like what makes some hyperlite, liquid force, or cwb so much more expensive? just the name brand thing
