My local boardshop didn't have the non platinum Marius so I demoed the platinum and loved it. I don't really want to spend the extra $100 so I had him order the regular one. Anyone rode both of these? What I am I losing from the platinum to the regular. Does that one pound make that big of a difference? I wouldn't think so but they do charge $100 for it so it can't be just nothing.

paus21, the release of the wake is a tad bit different. The landings could also be a tiny bit harder. The PT is just a stiffer board.

It's too bad you can't demo both. I doubt you would notice a huge difference between the two other than weight (when you are carrying it around).

I do love the PT boards though.

I see "tad bit" and "tiny bit" so its really not worth the extra money? I'm not out there throwing a wide assortment of crazy ass tricks anyway. Plus I know its gay but I like the looks of the non PT better.

paus21, in that case, if you like how the board rode in general, I'd get the foam core and not look back!

i have a buddy that rides for cwb - he actually prefers the foam marius because the landings are quite a bit softer.
