Are you going to wear a wetsuit? That's some damn cold water, but I'm kinda spoiled. The coldest the water got here this year was about 63. Laughing

go for it

I was just out last week, air temp: 63, water... maybe 55 at best? Just a 2mm top, and I'm still alive. I was with a guy that had nothing but his shorts and he's still alive too!

I'd say that if your air temp ins in the upper 70's-80's hyPOthermia will not be an issue.
Unless you plan on spending majority of your time swimming instead of wakeboarding, you'd be cold .

Do it... I was in 50* water in shorts and a 2mm top as well.

I'm still alive!

Water temp in the high 40's, low 50's will be miserable without a wetsuit or drysuit. You will survive assuming you don't get stranded in the water (in which case, you will die of hypothermia overnight). But you'll be shivering so bad and your muscles will be so tight that you won't ride all that great. Borrow a drysuit or buy yourself a wetsuit.

I am a warm weather Taco Bell Chalupa (as in I'm cold all the time, I like 95 and sunny) and I rode in April. It was 65 outside, water was 55 at best, and I had a 3/4 wetsuit on. It was a little cool in the breeze, but nothing to worry about it. If you do a lot of wiping out, (read in the water quite a bit) you might get cold. Pull out of the water for a while to warm back up.

Of course I do have a heater on the boat Very Happy
