Okay, who is hiding in their basement playing this game?

After hearing all the hype, I last minute bought this for the Little Man on Sunday(went to 5 stores). Watched him and his cousin play it on Christmas night....and then Tuesday when Michelle was at work, the Little Man was with mom and the little one was sleeping. I pulled the guitar strap over my shoulder and played a little Motley Crue....

I am laughing as I type this, because for good or bad….it was FUN....and am a little embarrassed to admit it.

I played it Christmas day, it was FUN even though I have no patience for the real thing.

I got it for Christmas too. I love it. I have beaten 31 of the 40 songs on expert already. The last two groups of songs get incredibly tough though. My favorites to play are Jessica by the Allman Brothers, Rock This Town by the Stray Cats and Sweet Child of Mine. Freebird is the last song though, and I am looking forward to it.

Someone just told me about this the other day actually, I've never seen it or played it though.

I used to play the first guitar hero and I loved it. I have the xbox 360 now and didnt want to switch between machines. I would definately buy it though. I wish they would make something like that for xbox

It's a cool game, but i suck at it. A friend of mine plays it all the time. We used to go to best buy to play it till he got it for christmas.

It's a great game. We play it at college all the time. I must say I preferred the songs on the original more though. impulse, I'm in the same boat as you, especially since my PS2 broke in November. It is reportedly scheduled to come out for Xbox and the 360 in Q1, around March, and then Guitar III is scheduled for Q4.

How can it be all that hard, are you playing the REAL cords/notes T for T????

I know nothing about this game and or most games to tell you the truth...

I get sports/shootem-ups and driving games and never worry about getting past a certain level.
I have had Tourist Trophy for a long time now and all I do is play Arcade mode... and love it...

Santa brought this game and an Xbox 360. We have played the hell out of Guitar Hero and barely touched the 360.

So it's like doing wakeboard tricks on a TRAMP, just a simulation....

It looks like you are not going to learn how to play real guitar using this but you will pick up tempo and co-ordination....
Of course if I find out some kid in tha hood has one I will have to try it out.... or the next time I'm at a store that has it on display...

yea i got it to for xmas. great game. i preferred the tunes on the first one better also but it is still a lot of fun. I need some practice to beat the songs on expert tho.

yea im a geek and i had the original guitar hero right when it came out. already beat guitar hero II on expert and ill probably buy the one for 360 when it comes out. its soo addicting Embarassed

Well I had to return an xbox 360 game my wife bought me. So with the credit I bought the guitar hero II. I love these games. I havent played on xpert yet... Freebird is a really fun song though.

"OMFG I FINALLY BEAT GH I AND II TONIGHT!!" beat cowboys from hell on expert to beat GH I and beat free bird to beat Gh II

and i got all the bonus songs except six and jordan beat on expert.......... yea.
