|
|
| so i was ending my set sunday and i was just gonna try to do a huge power carve coming in toeside and then carving the wake. Well i set a big edge toeside and didnt back off enough untill it was to late and i poped off the wake leaning back. i went inverted and landed on my head. It didnt hurt and i actually think it gave me a feel for the toeside back roll. Im gonna throw it next time im out |

That's awesome. You want to leave the wake while you're still on edge and keep the handle tight to your front hip or it will stop your rotation. Really it's easier if you keep both hands on the handle for most of the rotation. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

| I wish I could live somewhere, where I can ride right now. Were I am the water is still freezing and the mountains are just starting to melt. |

You want to drop your back hand. I used to always land on my head and assumed I just wasn't getting enough pop until I rode with someone who could throw one. As soon as he saw me attempt it he told me to keep both hands on the handle and really focus on keeping it down at my hip. I landed the next one after that. You can do it by dropping your back hand like a tantrum but having 2 hands on the handle helps keep it low I think. Now when I throw them, sometimes I forget and drop my back hand but since I am in the habit of keeping the handle low and in it's not a problem. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

I've got this huge mental block on TS backrolls. Last one I tried, from what everyone tells me, looked absolutley perfect, and I landed on the downslope of the wake and somehow just went down face first. I remember waking up in the boat seeing stars hardcore _________________

OuachitaWaker, I'm sure that was it. The thing was, I was riding with a couple of guys who can do TS BR's, plus a whole lot more, they're pretty advanced riders, and they said they thought I landed it just perfect. _________________

Anytime you get knocked out, prrrrrrrrrrrobably didn't land it just perfect. I'm trying to think of a trick that calls for you to face-plant so hard you get knocked cold. I'm drawing a blank. |

Haha, true. From what the people in the boat tell me all my falls look like I should be dead and they never mention me 'landing perfect.' |

That's kind of how I land. I start tricks off very well though. Somewhere in mid-air however I go horribly wrong. |

I was being serious, settle down dude. I've tried about 10 back rolls and everytime I start out great, let go with the wrong hand and begin rolling to revert and catch a very nice hard edge. Once you get upside down it's easy to forget everything you had planned on doing right before you get inverted. |
