I was just looking at this package on Buywake for a birthday present for myself and it looks decent for the cost ($429 US from $570). The package included the Divide bindings but for an extra $40 I could get Cabal bindings.
Anyone know anything about the board and the bindings? It's not a beginner setup, is it? And how does it stack up against their better boards, like the One or the Covin, for example?

THe vault takes what was put forth by the Hyperlite State and vastly improves on it. Any level rider can ride it.
Binding wise, they're great. I'd spend the extra $40 for the cabal bindings, they're pretty dam comfy. _________________ ODPC |

My brother is riding the Vault with 06 Murray bindings and I've took a few sets on it. I think the board rides great, not as much pop as my ONE, but a lot more forgiving and more predictable compared to the ONE. If you lack the perfect edge techniques the Vault will really help you out there. I was much more comfortable on my toe side on the Vault than I am with my board.
I'm going to put my ONE bindings on the Vault next time we go out. |

Okay so this might be the board. I'm between 11 and 11.5 in shoes. Will the size 7.5-11.5 cabals fit well? _________________

QNev, The next size up is absolutely ENORMOUS. I'm in the same boat as you, when I tried them on the the 7.5 to 11.5's fit me well. The 10.5 to 14.5's have about 2 1/2 inches more footbed, and were far too big. _________________

See if you can get some of the closed-toe Ronix bindings thrown in few a few extra bucks. They're unbelievably comfortable - I have the Ronix Cell boots on a 144cm Vault board and it's like porn on the water |

cypher1024, the closed toed bindings also have more precise sizing, so QNev, you'll be able to get some that fit well _________________

| Danny landed the 1080 on the ONE. The prototype he was on had the same top graphic that is on the Vault. |

This is true! And don't forget - they're heat-moldable too, so they're customized to your foot size.
I'm starting to sound like a Ronix rep now aren't I? Seriously dude, just go down to your local ski shop and try some of the closed-toe Ronix bindings on. It's like porn for your feet!! |

Yeah, I talked with a few dealers in town and no one deals Ronix yet. One shop is supposed to get them sometime in July, but I'm not going to wait that long.
As for closed toe bindings, I don't think I'd be able to afford that because there are no cheap board and closed toe deals going on. The best deal I've found is the Cabal/Vault package. _________________

We're going to buy from BuyWake.com because we can get an SL rope for only $55 with the purchase. It's a spectra line with a 15" foam handle - PERFECT!
The only thing I'm a little worried about is whether or not I can return the bindings if they don't fit. Can I do that?
Also, I'm moving up from an O'Brien Diesel 137 to the 139 Vault. Would it be a huge step up? And IS it a lighter board? _________________
