I went white water rafting on the Ocoee this past weekend it was amazing! It was a school club thing and my girlfriends parents came along with her little brother and man, I freakin hate that kid. To my enjoyment he sat in the front and screamed like a little girl, complaining that the water was too cold and I smiled everytime he got drenched .
Anyone else ever gone? |

Yep. I've been on the Yough 5-6 times and done a couple trips in CA also. Fun stuff.
You should have kicked the kid overboard.
What class is the Ocoee? _________________ (insert funny chit here) |

| The Upper Ocoee is between class 4 and 5 rapids. I went on the Middle Ocoee though which is of classes 3 and 4 rapids I'm not sure what thats like on the intensity level all i know is it kicked anus. All together its like 10 miles of rapids I wanted to do everything but we didn't pay for it. I'll probably go back it was a rush. I loves me some water! |

I've gone a few times.
Mostly to the upper and lower Gulee in West Virginia. Twice I was in a 4 man boat....that stuff was no joke. _________________ www.MidwestMilitia.net |

NAW, W. Virginia has some the best WW in the entire country.
If you are interested in a WW trip, check out the green river in UT. The water is WARM thus making it a great trip for the family. It's nice to get dumped and not freeze your nuts off in the process. Plus its fun to just swim in the river.
We left from Green River UT 4 nights 5 days, one of the best trips ever.

The CO river is a blast, but it is freezing cold year round not making it very fun when you get dumped or want to go for a swim. _________________ www.integrity-wake.com

| I remember when I was a kid and the thought of being risky and being close to the brink death or pain made me never do anything. Now I love the feeling! When we were chilling on a calmer part of the Ocoee a kayaker came up to us and we talked about being risky. He was older an guy and he told us a thought that often crosses his mind when he's kayaking, "I bet I could survive that if I jumped off of it." I cheered. |

Yup, up Maine way......
I have done all of them at least twice.
Dead river
Kennebec
Penobscot
I have done the Penobscot like 5 times cuz I think it's the best big water around these parts...
I would love to do some REAL stuff out west.... _________________ PEACE

Been on the Lower Kern - class 3-4 even with the water level being down.
They did a demonstration through a class 5 that was in the middle of our run. We had to hike around it .
If you're ever in So/Central CA I would recommend Kern River Tours. It's closer to Bakersfield/ Lake Isabella area. _________________
8824, dude - I suck. You were right.
. |
