So I'm thinking about getting a camcorder mainly to videotape me and my buddies wakeboarding, and other events, parties, family events, etc. I want to have the capability of editing, adding music, nice effects, etc. I know that is all involved in the program, but I see that there are three main formats available in camcorders. The MiniDV, the HardDrive Camcorders, and the MiniDVD camcorders. I've heard that the MiniDVD's are kind of pointless, but theres mixed reviews about both the MiniDV and the HDD camcorders. Those of you who own them, or have worked with them, any input, recommendations? I'm new to the camcorder/making movies deal, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
