I am really interested in trying out a Slingshot setup but they are so new to the wake scene that I can't find alot of info or any solid reviews. I have talked to one of their tech reps and he was really cool and very helpful but I would like to hear from people who have demoed or are currently riding Slingshots.

Any input would be appreciated. I really like the concept of a flex board but I'm torn between a new Ronix setup which I could demo and buy locally or a new Slingshot setup.

I did not care for the boots. At all.

I only tried them on dry, but are you kidding me? I am not going snowboarding where these things will be on my feet all day.

Tie the inside string. Then the outside string. Then the one outside of that. WTF!?!?!

Once in the boots, things felt good. They were more flexible than I expected, but I suppose that is a good thing to some. I did not feel pressure points and their size 9 was.... yes... a size 9.

Oh, and when I pulled my foot out, the liner came with it. Ok.... but do I really want this happening while I am sitting on the swim platform?

I do think their hearts were in the right place with the boots, but it is just way too much happening down there for wake.

The board looks very promising though. Looks like a blast to ride.

I rode the 145 setup yesterday. Like he said the boots are comfy and come up high but flew alot and it seems you might be in trouble if one boot snaps off the board (it is very possible) and the other doesn't eject (very possible). To many laces like chavez, said. You damn well locked in. If you do manage to pop out the liners are definately coming with your feet to possibly go floating off somewhere.

The board.... very inconsistant pop. It seems to either absorb some of your pop or send you flying. It feels kinda cool when the pop catches you but seemed hard to control. People say they land soft but it did not feel that much softer to me. I was embarrassing myself then jumped on my Watson and killed it. Maybe I did not give it enough time but I couldn't get into it at all. Another thing is that it seemed extremely grippy coming from my finless Watson but that could be easily corrected. They are super light and seems like they would be great to spin on but with the inconsistant pop I was getting didn't even try any. With a little practice learning to control this board and it's pop could be fun, but i don't feel like having to think about something else in addittion to all the other things to think about when I am learning a new trick.
