ok i have the hardest time trying to do this... for some reason the handle always ends up far from me and my arms stretched... it did not bother me that much before cause i was only doing 180s and grabs.. but now that i am starting to move to more complex tricks this is really becoming a very annoying issue.
iŽll see if i can get a vid of on of my wake jumps so you guys can see what i am talking about...
I think letting the handle away from you normaly starts with the 1st motion on the outside as you cut in.
Try to get your handle close when you are on the outside and create the cut by leaning back on the rope. If you create the cut by twisting your feet, you will break at the waist and the rope will get out in front of you.
^ That is probably the best advice I've ever read here about how to approach the wake.. If someone had posted that a long time ago, it would've saved me from months of bad jumps!!

howabouttheiris, Good tip. I'm going to try to keep that in mind. I'm getting some really decent pop now and I can clear the wake pretty consistently. Unfortunately I tend to wash out and fall out the back pretty often when I land. I think that keeping the handle low and close will help curtail some of this. We'll see if I can get straightened out tomorrow. Thanks.
